Jason

Jason Christ

Coach

Jason Christ

Coach

Coach Jason Christ brings 2 years of experiences to Virtuous Fitness’s coaching staff. After spending so much time in a big gym with no direction and not seeing results, he decided to look for a change and found it in this gym!

After 6 months, becoming a coach seemed like the best way to pay it forward in the name of fitness. “I had previously never been exposed to a community like our gym before,” he says. “I love being part of our community and coaching our athletes is a true honor!”

Jason is passionate for working hard and staying positive. He has core beliefs that your determination shows both inside and outside of the gym. “No matter how hard things get, whether in life, or at the gym, dig in and never quit! These things are as apparent in the gym or in our personal life,” he says. “If you work hard and are committed it will show.”

David Meland

Coach

Coach David Meland has been CrossFitting since 2012 after seeing his best friend make great fitness gains through CrossFit.  He soon fell in love with the community aspect and eventually started coaching kids and teens in 2016.  “After working with troubled youth – and after having my daughter – I wanted to help young people build a foundation in good health practices,” he says. “And CrossFit allowed me to do just that.”

David has a passion for lifting heavy objects, listening to good music, and eating donuts! “CrossFit allows me to do all three while being fit enough to do things I’m passionate about outside of the gym.” he says.  “Ultimately I want to bring a smile to everyone’s face.  When it comes to CrossFit I’d consider us all ‘Swolemates’ that are part of a tight knit community.  That’s what keeps me coming back!”

Tanya

Tanya Werner

Director

Tanya Werner

Director

Tanya is a self proclaimed nerd, a voracious reader with a thirst for knowledge and personal growth. She was drawn to coaching after being a member for many years and seeing the personal connection a coach could have. When a member is struggling with a movement or through a workout and the coach can say that one thing that will help them through it, that’s gold.

Tanya started her Crossfit journey in 2016 with encouragement from a friend. She was instantly hooked by the variation in exercises and the community aspect she hadn’t found elsewhere. Her favorite quote happens to coincide with the Crossfit mentality of growth, “It never gets easier, you just get better.”

Becky Enright

Coach

Becky Enright is a CrossFit coach, ER nurse, and a mother of two. This woman can handle anything. She specializes in “sarcasm and squats” and has a real passion for Ben and Jerry’s.

Like many people, it took a long time for Becky to get up the courage to try CrossFit because she thought it looked “too intimidating.” Luckily, the coaches saw something special in her and helped her find her inner and outer strength. “After a few years, I decided it was time to help other people find their strength,” she says. “I chose Virtuous because of Cody Smith and the environment he’s created here – we’re all a family and help each other be the best we can be.”

Coach

Felecia Hardy

Coach

Coach Felecia is a go 100% Coach. She was brought to us by a referral and came into one of our community events where she was touched by how much of a Strong Community Virtuous Fitness was. "When you stepped into the building it wasn't just another global gym where you are just trying to figure it out alone."

With the guidance of an Experienced Coach she was able to be comfortable inside the gym.

Now she aspires to pay that back to all the athletes in the building. When she steps onto the floor its game time and she wants to give everyone that one on one coaching experience with the fun of the group around her. Each day she aspires to give her best to her clients.

Rusty

Rusty Staub

Coach

Rusty Staub

Coach

Rusty started at Virtuous five years ago after many conversations with one of the athletes, now that he is almost 60 the value of fitness is even more apparent. His four children Think that it is cool their dad can pick up heavy stuff and exercise almost every day, with zero health issues

He started this journey because he felt he needed to kick start his fitness program, bicycling and running was not enough, using the excuse of getting older so it is okay to be slower, the reality was he was slowly getting heavier and softer.

He entered the coaching intern program at CF7C, now Virtuous Fitness, and quickly realized he was able to reach out and connect with those who are not the “typical” Athlete. He really enjoys working with the athletes especially those that need some extra time or one more practice round. It is very rewarding to see the daily improvements.

Through his fitness and coaching journey, he has found; skill level or physique is not a measure of success, everybody roots for everybody, everyone helps, everyone wins. All of the Coaches ALWAYS have time to help out the other athletes with form or technique. They are willing to and often do stop or postpone their own workout routine to help-out with a class, provide one on one mentoring or provide some special encouragement.
